By opting for manual excavation, we safeguard your lawn and prevent unintended damage to underground utilities while forming perfectly chiseled thighs, setting a new standard upon the earth.
We never cut corners; we cut with authority, all the way through the foundation wall from the outside , evicting all rif-raf to make room for The Egress Window System. By judiciously installing egress windows, we prioritize the structural integrity of your home above all else. Then the light will shine. Licensed, bonded, and insured, we guarantee our workmanship, providing peace and goodwill to all.
We do all excavation with hand-tools; namely, shovels and wheel-barrows. We have learned over the years heavy equipment can damage pipes beneath he ground without anyone ever knowing it.
We use heavy-duty plastic to cover anything inside the basement prior to cutting the concrete. Additionally, we station a man with a wet/dry vacuum on the inside to catch any water or dust which may leak through the wall during the cutting process.
We perform all of the cutting from the outside using a special concrete saw with a deep blade. We do not over-cut the corners, but make a perfectly square cut, preserving the structural integrity of the wall.
We dig all the way down to the exterior drain tile using post-hole diggers, then fill the hole with gravel to facilitate drainage of any excess water during heavy rains.
We build a frame for the new egress window with pressure-treated lumber and install the new window with the bottom of the 'net clear opening' within 44" from the inside finished floor.
We attach the new egress window well to the exterior of your foundation wall with stainless-steel masonry fasteners.
We fasten the egress window well cover and ensure it opens easily and free from any obstruction.
We carefuly backfill around the window well.
We thoroughly clean the jobsite and haul away all excess soils and debris.
We continue to follow up on the job and ensure the initial installation meets our quality standards and the backfill is adequate.
